Prime Minister, Dr. Edouard Ngirente Nsengiyumva, has arrived in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, to represent President Paul Kagame at the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
The summit, which opened on March 27, is scheduled to run through March 29, 2026, bringing together leaders from member countries to discuss shared development priorities.
Talks on the opening day focused on sustainable development, resilience-building and strengthening cooperation among developing nations. Rwanda was earlier represented in the discussions by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Usta Kaitesi.
Founded in 1975, the OACPS comprises 79 countries across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. The bloc aims to promote collaboration among developing nations, support sustainable development and enhance economic cooperation among its members, with the European Union serving as a key partner.
