Access to Finance Rwanda has launched Terimbere MSME Facility, a program designed to help small and medium-sized businesses access funding and grow. The initiative targets entrepreneurs in rural areas and city outskirts.
The program connects business owners with development experts and financial institutions. It aims to remove common obstacles such as limited capital, insufficient support, and lack of information needed to expand operations.
Through Terimbere, businesses can receive guidance in financial management, improving operations, marketing, and investment planning. Partner banks provide loans, loan guarantees, interest subsidies, and grants. Special services are also available for women and youth entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs and service providers can register on the program’s website, www.terimberemsme.rw, to request support or offer services. The platform also links them with appropriate partners.
To reach rural entrepreneurs, Terimbere has established offices in Musanze, Rubavu, Rusizi, Kayonza, and Huye. These offices help business owners access tailored support and affordable financing close to home.
Jean Bosco Iyacu, CEO of Access to Finance Rwanda, said, “Terimbere MSME Facility is a major step in advancing the entrepreneurial sector in Rwanda. The program helps businesses grow and create jobs while connecting service providers and financial institutions with qualified entrepreneurs.”
The program emphasizes inclusion, ensuring women, youth, refugees, people with disabilities, and rural residents can access the resources they need to expand their businesses. Terimbere also works with policymakers to improve laws and regulations affecting small and medium enterprises.
