President Paul Kagame on Wednesday evening received 25 international leaders at his office in Kigali for talks focused on the country’s development journey and future cooperation.
The delegation, known as the Dialog Group, discussed Rwanda’s transformation over the past three decades, including efforts toward national unity and reconciliation following the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. Talks also centered on governance reforms and innovation-driven leadership that officials say have helped shape the country’s economic growth and institutional development.
Participants explored potential partnerships to support Rwanda’s next phase of development, with emphasis on sectors considered critical to implementing national priorities and long-term strategic programs.
The Dialog Group is led by Bobby Pittman, chief executive officer and board chair of the Rwanda Development Bank (BRD); Nick Allardice, president and chief executive officer of GiveDirectly; and Jocelyn Wyatt, chief executive officer of Alight.
The leaders are visiting Rwanda to exchange perspectives on governance and sustainable development, with the stated goal of strengthening collaboration to drive lasting change.
The Dialog Group brings together senior figures from business, finance, philanthropy, politics and international development. It serves as a platform for dialogue and knowledge-sharing rather than a formal institution, and does not operate as a government body or a commercial enterprise with a permanent headquarters.
According to organizers, the group aims to foster cooperation across sectors and countries while encouraging joint solutions to global challenges.
